Amanda's Introduction

Amanda started HIITMIX in October 2024, and what followed has been nothing short of life-changing. From where she began to where she is now, her journey is powerful, honest, and packed with moments that show what’s really possible when you stick with it.

Clare's Introduction

Clare joined HIITMIX in January 2025, and quickly proved this isn’t just about workouts, it’s about mindset. From building confidence to taking her fitness abroad, her story shows how small steps can lead to big changes.

AMANDA'S JOURNEY

How has HIITMIX changed your day-to-day life?

Its been life changing, I can now do things like walk up and down stairs easily. I actually run down them now!

 

What can you do now that you couldn’t before starting HIITMIX?

I can run around and sit on the floor to play and most importantly get back up. 

 

How has your energy or lifestyle improved outside of class?

I now walk a lot and can run around with the kids. 

 

In what ways has HIITMIX made everyday tasks easier for you?

I am no longer dependent on help to do basic things like put on socks and shoes. 

How does it feel now being able to keep up with Charlie?

It's amazing being able to give him the life he deserves. Being an older mum it is so important to do things like sit on the floor and play without worrying that you can't get up again!

What’s a 'normal moment' now that actually means a lot to you?

I swung on the swings with Charlie last weekend!

'My Journey has been life saving as I was morbidly obese and weighed over 30 stone. I would not be alive today had I not found an exercise class that makes me feel this amazing as that is what has made me stick at it, it has now become an integral part of my life!'

AMANDA'S Q&A

When did you first try HIITMIX, and what progress have you made since starting?

I started my journey weighing over 30 stone, and discovered HIITMIX along the way. Since then, it’s played a huge part in me losing over 15 stone so far.​
 

What has HIITMIX given you that you didn’t expect?

Confidence and empowerment. Having the confidence to be in a space ... Like playing at the park or being on stage at events! 

 

How has your mindset changed since starting?

I prioritise my time to do HIITMIX as part of my routine. Exercise is my top priority now. 

 

What does HIITMIX mean to you now?

Honestly, I love it, I cannot imagine not doing it as part of my weekly excercise routine. 

 

How has this journey impacted your relationship with yourself?

I am in the best place mentally I have ever been. I am confident and have never felt more included and valued as I do when at HIITMIX. 

What would you say to someone who’s nervous to start HIITMIX and unsure if they’ll be able to do the exercises?

Don't be, there's always an adaption to suit you. There is never any judgement and you will be made to feel welcome. Any movement is better than not moving at all and trust me eventually it will come. I could not get on the floor when I first started and I was given a whole range of different options for burpees for example standing and lifting my knees, then introducing low squats to the move and gradually putting one more adaption move in as I got stronger and fitter ... Now I do full Burpees, still not as fast or as many as some other HIITMIXERS but I will get there and they are all on my side cheering me on!

CLARE'S JOURNEY

How has your confidence changed since starting HIITMIX?

My confidence levels are at such a high, I used to hide at the back but now I love being up at the front, even being on stage is something I would never have done, I go up and talk to new people encouraging them, I love how I look and feel now and have found I will get in photos more as I used to avoid them or hide at the back.

 

What do you feel more confident doing now that you wouldn’t have before?

Being at the front of class and stepping up when asked, even taking centre when Paige was injured, something I never thought I’d do. I’ve even performed on stage without hesitation. I also feel much stronger, especially with moves like sit-ups that I used to struggle with.

 

When did you first notice your confidence starting to grow?

Around two months in. I naturally started moving closer to the front, chatting to others, and realising I could do things I previously struggled with.

 

How do you feel walking into a class now compared to your first one?

I love it. No matter what kind of day I’ve had, I know class will lift my mood. I also love being able to encourage others to just give it a go.

 

Has HIITMIX changed how you see yourself?

Completely. I feel proud of who I’ve become and how far I’ve come. My family see the difference too, not just in how I look, but in how I feel about myself.

'Just come along and give it a go. There’s no pressure to do the high-impact moves, there are always options while your confidence builds. It’s not your typical fitness class, we laugh, support each other, and no one judges or watches what you’re doing. The music and energy will lift your mood, and you’ll leave feeling better than when you walked in. Everyone is friendly and welcoming.'

CLARE'S Q&A

Clare recently went on holiday… and instead of just packing bikinis, she packed her workout clothes too ..
We had to unpack that decision and get her to spill exactly what’s changed…

 

You’ve taken your workouts abroad, what made you want to do that?
I wanted to keep up my routine while on holiday and not undo all the hard work I’d put in. I also didn’t want my fitness levels to drop.

How did it feel choosing to work out on holiday?
Empowering and energising. I’d go to the gym after breakfast, then head out for a long walk. It set me up for the whole day.

What would the “old you” have done on holiday compared to now?
Before, I’d overeat at breakfast and spend most of the day by the pool or at the bar. Now I make better choices and stay active.

 

Did that moment make you realise how much your mindset has changed?
Yes, even packing my gym clothes made me realise how far I’ve come and how much I’ve changed.

How does fitness now fit into your lifestyle, even outside your normal routine?
It’s a big part of my life now. I plan my routine around classes and really miss it when I can’t go, which I never would’ve done before.

Clare looks noticeably more toned, especially through her upper body. This points to improved muscle engagement from consistent training, which helps create a firmer, more defined look without needing extreme workouts.

Her ability to stay active, even on holiday, suggests improved energy systems. Regular training boosts how efficiently the body produces and uses energy, meaning less fatigue and quicker recovery.

🧠 Habit & Behaviour Change
One of the biggest shifts here is behavioural. Choosing to work out on holiday shows a rewiring of habits. Fitness has gone from being something she “should” do to something that’s part of her lifestyle.

Consistent HIIT training improves heart and lung function. That means better stamina, more endurance, and the ability to push harder without feeling exhausted.

✨ Confidence & Posture
There’s a visible difference in how Clare carries herself. More upright posture, relaxed shoulders, and a more open stance, all signs of increased strength and confidence.
